Pupil Services
Southeast Delco School District's mission statement demonstrates the district's belief that all children can learn. The Department of Pupil Services assists students who have needs or concerns which may prevent a student from learning at their full potential. It is not uncommon for students to require additional supportive services on the road to learning and becoming contributing members of society. The Department includes, five school psychologists, five school nurses, eight school counselors, three social workers, a student registration assistant, the department secretary, and a Pupil Services/Special Education Supervisor.
The members of the department provide a network of highly trained professionals to counsel youngsters and their families, connect children and caregivers to programs and services, assess levels of learning, support the physical and mental health of youngsters, and provide training for staff throughout the district to better interact for the benefit of children and their families. They also serve as consultants to schools for instructional issues, behavior management, and social/emotional development.
The department is dedicated to ensuring safe schools for all our students. A Crisis Management Plan has been developed and a Student Assistance Program is available in all of our schools
The mission of the Department of Pupil Services is to provide a nurturing environment in which all our students can achieve academic excellence.
